This is the story of Ms. Apurva Jaiswal. While Apurva was pursuing her graduation, her life took an unexpected turn when her mother was diagnosed with kidney failure in both kidneys.
Determined to save her mother, Apurva and her sisters brought her to Mumbai's KEM Hospital. The family later shifted to Palghar so treatment could continue smoothly.
After countless hospital visits, endless waiting, and constant prayers, the family finally received an appointment for a kidney transplant.
The transplant was successful, but the responsibilities continued. Her mother needed constant care, medicines, regular check-ups, and financial support.
Apurva completed her graduation and started working in a small engineering workshop for Rs. 2,500 per month.
As circumstances changed, she eventually found herself alone in the city with her mother, managing rent, hospital visits, daily expenses, and work.
The burden was overwhelming, yet she never gave up.
At the same time, she carried a responsibility far greater than any professional target. Every three to four days, she had to take her mother to KEM Hospital for follow-up treatment. Managing a demanding banking career while caring for a kidney transplant patient was an enormous challenge. Yet, with the support of relatives, friends, colleagues, and her own unwavering determination, she continued moving forward. Through every hardship, one thing remained constant her love for her mother. Her mother was not only a parent but also her greatest source of strength, motivation, and inspiration. The values and teachings she received from her mother gave her the courage to keep moving forward when life seemed impossible. For nearly two decades, Apurva dedicated herself to her mother's well-being. She never neglected her treatment, never complained about her responsibilities, and never abandoned her family during difficult times. In an era where balancing personal ambitions and family responsibilities is often challenging, Apurva demonstrated what true devotion and commitment look like. However, life had one final and painful test waiting for her. On 15th May 2023, after a courageous 45-day battle for life, Apurva's mother passed away. It was the most heartbreaking moment of her life. For a daughter who had devoted almost twenty years to caring for her mother, the loss was immeasurable. Her mother had been her purpose, her strength, and her emotional anchor through every challenge. The void left behind could never truly be filled. The grief was overwhelming. Yet, true to her character, Apurva found the strength to rise again. She chose not to let sorrow define her future. Instead, she carried forward the values, courage, and resilience her mother had instilled in her. She transformed her pain into strength and continued moving forward with dignity and determination. Today, Apurva is a respected professional in her field. Through years of hard work and perseverance, she has built a successful career, achieved financial stability, and earned a position of responsibility. She has even fulfilled one of her dreams by purchasing her own home. Yet success has never changed her priorities. Today, she continues to care for her elderly father, who is undergoing treatment for a lung-related illness. Just as she once stood beside her mother through every challenge, she now stands beside her father, continuing her journey of responsibility, compassion, and unconditional love. Apurva's journey teaches us that success is not measured solely by job titles, salaries, or material possessions. True success lies in fulfilling our responsibilities, standing strong during adversity, and never abandoning the people who need us the most. Her story is not merely the story of a daughter.
